The name, Leonard Stringfield, is not well known to present-day UFO researchers – in part due to the fact that he died 15 years ago. He did not seek any spotlight and had very limited public appearances or televised interviews. His pioneering research for 40 years has rarely been matched today as it was unique. It was his respected and trustworthy character that drew many cautious and uneasy military informants to actually share the "forbidden" sights and information that they had encountered.
