The Feds pretending to be protestors or anarchists are the ones who start the violence.

Lynn,

We need to remember that incident and learn from it.

1. The protesters had said that they were opposed to the USA.

So we need to emphasize that we want to restore the USA.

2.  The protesters dressed in a counter culture style.

So we need to dress as normal USA residents.  (It is easier now since the counter culture style is now normal.)

3.  The protesters started a riot.

So we need to keep any demonstrations orderly.

4.  The protesters littered the campus.

So we need to avoid lettering.

5.  (I assume) there were hundreds of troops with raped fire weapons. But only 4 people were shot - probably because the troops were frightened by the on-rushing protesters.

So we need to avoid rapid moves that may frighten the troops - we need to reassure then that we are their friends and neighbors.

Any other observations and lessons?

(I assume) there were thousands of protesters and hundreds of soldiers.  Four dead could just a few (or one) frightened soldiers who broke discipline.   We need to avoid frightening the troops.

Does anyone remember the facts better?  Was there an order to fire?

One factor working in our favor is that most of our current troops have served multiple tours in Iran and/or Afghanistan.  After facing down the Taliban armed with AK-47s, a group of their fellow citizens armed with placards is not going to be very frightening.

"...Also heard that Obama has called for the military to have one million troops on the ground in the US by January 30 in anticipation of a civil war."

I have seen this reported at a couple of unreliable and unconfirmable sources.

Personally, I hope they do have the stupidity to post a million armed Americans (I don't care that they have uniforms on - THEY ARE STILL AMERICANS) on American soil! IT WOULD BE THE BIGGEST BACKFIRE THEY EVER SAW. American Troops are NOT stupid, and they would not mess with the American People with force of arms.

1. They know they would be harming families JUST LIKE THEIR OWN, and if they are ordered (falsely) to harm us in any way, they will be wondering "What's happening to MY family back home!?! - the same thing as here?", and would actually fight on OUR side!

2. They know they are outnumbered and outgunned by us - even with tanks and planes, they know we would HURT them by our sheer numbers. (All the while thoughts of #1 above nagging at their brains).

3. THERE IS NO 'BATTLE FRONT'! They don't have enough (and there AREN'T enough) troops to cober everyone everywhere at the same time, which is the ONLY way the could act. They don't have the luxury of a Hurricane Katrina all over America at the same time to 'protect' us from.

A million American Troops all across the land would be nothing more than OUR OWN REINFORCEMENTS! We have been saying "Just come home NOW" for so long, I WELCOME that many of America's Finest coming home - for ANY reason!

4. THEY WILL NOT FIRE ON ME WEARING AN ARMY VETERAN'S HAT AND FLYING THE AMERICAN FLAG. I'll bet my LIFE on that one simple fact. They are us - I know - because I WAS THEM.

TPTB hasten their own doom.
