I'll have to concur with the former argument. Bottom line: although Jesus got into a religious war against the Jewish leaders and was murdered because of it, he could have NEVER been accepted as a rabbi had he not been recognized as a Jew. Instead of getting our drawers twisted over Jesus having been a Jew, let's not forget that He was the one who put an end to the Jewish religion by fulfilling the Old Covenant and establishing a new one with His New Man, the Christian.
